The award will be presented during the Museum\u2019s annual Gala on Wednesday, June 11, a signature event that brings together leaders from the architecture, design, real estate, and construction sectors, as well as the broader Washington, D.C. business and cultural communities.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s award comes at a milestone moment for Gensler, as the firm celebrates its 60th anniversary. Founded in 1965, Gensler has grown into a global architecture and design practice with more than 6,000 professionals across offices worldwide. Over the past six decades, the firm has helped shape city skylines, reimagined the modern workplace, revitalized cultural institutions, and delivered design solutions that positively impact communities around the globe.
